11 acres and 1 virgate of land at 'Spareweham' in the holding of Godmersham which the priory purchased ('perquiro') to celebrate ('facio') the anniversary of Robert of Ludlow ('Lodelowe'), consisting of 4½ acres from Stephen Sparewe, lying in a field called 'Sparewefeld'', with the land which was of William Pykot to west, a wood called 'Templewode' to east, the land which was of Matilda, daughter of Heldewyna Sparewe, to north and the priory's wood called Eggringe ('Eadgaringe') to south, and 6½ acres and 1 virgate of land from Matilda daughter of Heldewyna Sparewe, lying in the field called 'Sparewefeld', with the land which was of William Pykot to west, a wood called 'Wyngeswode' to east, the land which was of Stephen Sparewe to south and the land of Wimund de la forde to north. For the term of the lives of both of them. For an annual payment of 5s, payable as specified at Canterbury for the anniversary of Robert of Ludlow. Right of distraint if payment in arrears. After the deaths of Geoffrey and Godeleva, the land shall revert to the priory. Priory's part of indenture.
