Of an annual payment of 6s 8d, payable as specified at the altar of St Mary in Canterbury Cathedral. Payable for 20 acres of his land in Godmersham and the messuage where he lives, of which 5 acres lie in a field next to his door ('ianua') next to the way opposite his messuage in the middle of the way ('in medio vico'), 3 acres lie with the wood of his brothers Ralph and Nicholas to west, 6 acres lie in 'suthdune' between the land of John de valoynes and the land of Hamo, son of Bartholomew's brother Walter and 6 acres lie in 'northdune' between the land of John de valoynes and the land of Nicholas, Bartholomew's brother. Made and recorded at Godmersham court. For this the priory has also paid 4 marks as a gersum fine by the hands of Richard de mallinges, keeper ('custos') of St Mary's altar. Dated 1232, no month.
