| Description | From: Robert le mason of Godmersham To: the prior and convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory
For an annual payment of 5s free rent which his brother Elias gave to the priory, payable as specified in the priory's treasury at Canterbury. Payable for the messuage ('mesaug'') and all lands and tenements which he holds or can acquire in the vill ('villa') of Godmersham or elsewhere. He grants the priory a right of distraint in all goods, messuages, houses, lands, rents and tenements he has now or may acquire in the future and the property is to remain charged with this right when it is alienated or distrained. Robert will render all services due to the court of Godmersham for the holding that he holds of that court. Given at Canterbury.
