Description	From: Hubert Walter, archbishop of Canterbury To: W Gernon Recites the mandate of Pope Innocent III, dated 13 Aug 1203 at Ferentino [Frosinone Italy]. Mgr John de Colonna ('Columpna') complained to the pope that W Brueira and his accomplices occupied his church of [Little?] Gaddesden ('Gotesdon'') [Hertfordshire] by violence and took away the fruits and refused to return them. The pope commands the archbishop to compel W Bruiera to restore the fruits to John and cease troubling him. The archbishop is not to allow anyone to interfere with John's revenues in England and if anyone tries, he is to stop them and cause them to make satisfaction to John and his vicars. The archbishop commands W Gernon to restore the fruits to John and to appear at the church of St Mary Lambeth on 8 Dec to answer to John and obey the law. No date.
