There has been a dispute between Leeds Priory and Boxley Abbey about an annual payment of 27s which the prior of Leeds, as rector of Goudhurst ('Goutherst'), claims from Boxley Abbey and concerning the tithes of Boxley Abbey's manor of Chingley in Goudhurst parish. An agreement was reached through the mediation of John Fyneux, serjeant at law, William Brent and John Nethersole. The prior of Leeds is entitled to the payment, payable as specified by the abbot of Boxley, together with 13s 6d for arrears. The abbot is entitled to enjoy the tithes without any interference by the prior as rector of Goudhurst. Leeds Priory's part of indenture.
