A dispute has arisen between the prior and convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory, as owners of the parish church of Godmersham and its dependent chapelry of Challock, and 'Dominus' John Betty, rector of Eastwell, concerning the tithes of the manor of Otterpley. The archbishop entrusts the matter to the addressees or to two of them, of whom Mgr Richard laite shall be one. Given at Lambeth [Surrey]. |
