Establishing a chantry of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the parish church of Godmersham. For the souls of his parents Tristran ('Tristrandus') atte Halle and Joan, his wives Matilda, Joan, Katharine and Margery, and all his children, his sisters Isabel, Mabel, Agnes, Alice and Theophania, Brother Richard de lourdyngden, OP, and the souls of their parents, by whose gift he had most of the endowment of the chantry. Also for the soul of Archbishop Simon Islip, from whose goods £10 was collected for the king's licence, the soul of 'Dominus' Thomas Newe, rector of Godmersham, who arranged for the lands to be alienated in mortmain, and the souls of his friends, the soul of Gilbert de hell' who endowed the chantry with a rent of 26s 8d, the soul of Mgr Richard de Wodelond, for whose soul a rent was given to provide wine and a wax light for mass, and for the soul of 'Dominus' Guy de Valoynes and Thomas Germanus, his man ('suus'), who assigned a messuage ('mansus') in the vill ('villa') of Godmersham to the chantry. Also for the souls of all the faithful departed.

Hamo endows the chantry with a messuage in the vill of Godmersham and 180 acres of land in Challock. 'Dominus' Guy de Valoynes, formerly priest of the chantry demised ('dimitto') £4 to his successor 'Dominus' Thomas Bollyng on condition that Thomas should demise a similar sum to his successors and that each subsequent priest should do the same. Provisions for securing this sum. Provisions for increasing the endowment if a suitable priest cannot be found because of its poverty. Provisions for dealing with a priest who leads a bad or scandalous life.
Hamo appoints the churchwardens of Godmersham as keepers of goods of the chantry after his death. Each year they are to give an account of the goods to the rector, vicar and 6 honest men nominated by the community. Details of services to be said for their souls. Hamo appoints the prior and convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory as patrons of the chantry after his death.
