William binds his tenement in vill ('villa') of Godmersham which fell to him after the death of John the chaplain ('capellanus'), his brother, with a right of distraint for an annual payment of 2s free rent and reliefs when necessary if they are not paid at the terms named in the charter of his brother Henry, which payment the priory bought from Henry.

Endorsed with description and note of registration in late 13th cent hands.
