His part of a wood with a ditch ('fossa') 4 feet wide, lying in a place called 'Eastrede' in the holding of Godmersham, with Alexander's wood to east, the land of John the mason ('Cim'') and his wife to west, the priory's wood to north and the wood of Geoffrey of Yallande ('Eldelonde') to south. For an annual payment of 1 horse-nail ('clavis equinus'), payable as specified at Alexander's house. For this Alexander has also paid 10 marks as a gersum fine. Dated 7EdwI, no month.
