A piece ('pechia') of land called 'pendekere' in the vill ('villa') of Godmersham, which fell to him after the death of Stephen his brother, lying in a field called 'bedinteghe' with land of the convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory to west and south, the bank of the Stour ('ripam sture') to east and the land of Thomas son of William to north. For an annual payment of 1 clove ('clavum gerofrie') as a quit-rent ('forisgabulum'), payable as specified in the churchyard of Godmersham. For this William has also paid 2 marks as a gersum fine. Dated 32HenIII, no month.
