For an annual payment of 1½ seams of palm-barley ('ordeum palmelli'), payable as specified in the vill ('villa') of Godmersham, and an annual payment of 7d, payable as specified in the priory's treasury at Canterbury. Payable for 2 acres and 3 virgates of land lying in 3 parts at 'Brochole' among ('inter') the lands of Robert de popindane. The priory bought the payments from Stephen de Thorne son of Eadmer.
For the priory's greater security, Robert has charged his messuage and the whole of his land wherever it is in the holding ('tenementum') of Godmersham with the payment. No date. [Date: handwriting and witnesses to other Godmersham charters.]
