| Description | Copies of 21 charters and other documents relating to the possessions and privileges of Faversham Abbey. Including grants and confirmations issued by Stephen, Matilda, William count of Boulogne, Warenne and Mortain, Henry II, John, Henry III, Edward I and Edward III. Concerning various property and privileges, including the manor of Faversham and other lands in Kent, the manors of Tring [Hertfordshire] and Stoke [Mandeville, Buckinghamshire], judicial rights in London and Southwark, a fishery at Milton next Sittingbourne (''Middleton'), rights of free warren in Bendysh in Essex and Tring in Hertfordshire and various financial and judicial privileges. Also includes an agreement between the abbey and Gilbert of Ulcombe, relating to pasture in Kingsnorth Wood ('Chingesnade'), a verdict in a case of assault at 'Northderente' (Darenth?) and a sentence of outlawry on named individuals.
