Discord had arisen between the priory and the town because of the town's claim to pasture its animals in the priory's meadows in the town ('villa') of Fordwich called 'Fordmed'', 'Middelhope' and 'Landhope' between 1 Aug and 2 Feb each year. The town renounces any claim to the meadows. In return the priory grants it the right to pasture its animals, except pigs, on 'Fordmed'' from 16 Aug to 2 Feb and on 'Middelhope' and 'Landhope' from 13 Oct to 2 Feb each year. Reserving to the priory a right of way across 'Fordmed'' to 'Middelhope' and 'Landhope' between 15 Aug and 13 Oct. The priory agrees not to pasture in the meadows between 15 Aug and 13 Oct. Priory's part of indenture.
