| Description | Party: Benedict, II, prior of Canterbury Cathedral Priory Party: Lambin frese
Addressed to the residents of Canterbury. Lambin frese has returned to the priory a piece of land which he held from it and which lies before the gate of the priory cemetery. In exchange the priory has granted him some land lying towards 'Hottemelne' by 'Forde' which was of Godwin Grom and some adjacent land which was of Gerald le tanur. For an annual payment of 5s. The priory has paid Lambin 10 marks before the open court ('in plena curia') and seisin has been delivered by both. Priory's part of chirograph. No date. [Date: Prior Benedict's dates.] [The land referred to in this charter later became the site of the Poor Priests' Hospital.]
