On the basis of Norris's description (DCc-LA/79/ii, unpaginated, under Loose) and from the few words which can be read, the document has been identified with the registered versions cited below, from which it has been catalogued.] 3 acres of wood in East Farleigh parish, lying with the land of William son of Silvester to west, the woods of Alexander de Frakenham, William de bosco and Thomas son of James to east, the land of Gilbert the butcher ('carnifex') to south and the land of William son of Silvester to north. For annual payments of a red rose to Stephen at East Farleigh manor and 4d to James son of Amfrid of 'Westlose', both payable as specified. For this the priory has also paid 50s as a gersum fine. Dated 55HenIII, no month.
