DescriptionSubmitted by the proctor of the prior and convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory. Relates to a case brought by the priory against 'Dominus' Henry de Schenholt' and 'Dominus' Richard Scodland, knight. The priory has appropriated the church of Farningham ('Freningham') and should receive all the tithes from lands of the manor of Charton ('Cherithon'') within Farningham parish and all offerings to the chapel in the manor of Charton. Henry and Richard have usurped a great part of the offerings to themselves and maliciously carried them away. The proctor asks that Henry and Richard should be made to stop this and to restore the offerings and to make satisfaction for them, which he estimates at 60 marks. No date. [Date: date of DCc-ChAnt/F/14 which also seems to relate to this case.]
