| Description | From: Baldwin, count of Guînes ('Gisnensis') To: the convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory
Addressed to all his men and officers ('minister') of Guînes (Gisnes') [Pas-de-Calais]. He grants the priory exemption from the toll ('theoloneum') and all customs exacted in Guînes from those crossing. The monks and their servants ('serviens') are to be free from toll, pedage and all other customs and he forbids his men and officers to trouble them about this matter. The grant is made for the honour of God and the love of St Thomas Becket and the souls of himself, his wife and his heirs. No date. [Date: St Thomas's death and handwriting.]
