Many details of property and transaction and some witnesses's names supplied from registered version.] 48 acres 3 roods 6 perches of land, 5 acres of pasture, 3 roods of wood and 9 acres of marsh from various purchases he has made in Lower Halstow, Great Chart, Chartham and Stone next Ospringe as specified. The lands are worth 22s 5d a year and the grant is made, with the licence of King Richard II, in part satisfaction of lands to the annual value of £20 which Edward III, the king's grandfather, allowed the priory to acquire for the augmentation of divine service at St Mary's altar in the cathedral. Given at Canterbury.
