DescriptionFrom: King Edward III, king of England

He has inspected the letters patent of Robert [Hathbrande], prior of Canterbury Cathedral Priory, and the chapter of Canterbury Cathedral Priory, dated 24 Apr 1365 in their chapter house at Canterbury (recited), Simon Islip, archbishop of Canterbury, with the king's consent, granted the priory, among other things, the advowsons of the churches of Eastry and Monkton, which had been appropriated to the priory's almonry, with the chapels annexed to them, and assigned half their fruits to the priory and its almonry. In return, the priory grants the archbishop the advowsons of the churches of St Pancras [Soper Lane], St Dunstan [in the East] and All Hallows Bread Street London, reserving the pensions it receives from them. The king confirms the priory's grant. Sent patent. By privy seal writ. The clerk is Woll'.
