John will pay the court of Eastry all the small scots payable for the fifth part of the tenement in Craythorne [in Tilmanstone] which fell to Henry son of Bertin of Craythorne after Bertin's death and Thomas shall be quit of the small scots because of that part which he bought of Henry at Venson ('Wendelestun'') [in Eastry]. John obliges the tenement he bought of Henry at Craythorne with this payment and grants Thomas and the bailiffs and servants of the prior and convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory a right of distraint in it. Thomas will pay John an annual payment of 4s 6s, payable as specified to be paid by the priory on Thomas's behalf. Thomas obliges the tenement he bought of Henry of Craythorne at Venson with this payment and grants John and the priory's bailiffs and minsters a right of distraint in it. No date.
