There have been many disputes between the prior and chapter of Canterbury Cathedral Priory and Mgr Anselm of Eastry, rector of Eastry, in both ecclesiastical and secular courts, but the priory, represented by John de Sevenak' [Sevenoaks?], clerk, its proctor, and Anselm have now submitted themselves to the writers' arbitration. The writers have inspected a composition between Hubert [Walter], late archbishop of Canterbury, and the priory and other relevant documents belonging to both parties and arrived at their decision. The parties are to renounce all cases pending between them. Details of the division between the parties of the tithes, fees, rents and profits of courts from Eastry and Lydden [in Worth], including tithes payable to the priory's almonry. The arbitrators' decision is not to detract from the composition between Hubert and the priory. Sealed with the seals of the arbitrators and both parties [priory's seal no longer present].
