The whole portion, descending from Edith, her mother, of a messuage [in Eastry], lying with Reginald's messuage to south, the land of the almoner ('Elemosinarius'), which was the orchard ('pomerium') of the prior and convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory, to north, the way ('strata') leading to the court of the lords of the same holding ('tenementum') to east and the land which was of William Rungefer to west. Condition against tenure by religious men. For an annual payment of 6d as a quit-rent ('Forgabulum'), payable as specified. For this Reginald has also paid 10s as a gersum fine. No date. [Date: handwriting and witnesses to other Eastry charters.]
