DescriptionParty: the prior and convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory
Party: the brothers and sisters of St Bartholomew's Hospital, Sandwich

The Hospital is acting with the consent of the mayor and commonalty of Sandwich. The priory grants the hospital a piece of meadow at 'Langemed', lying with the king's highway from Sandwich to Ham to northwest, the lands of Stephen veyrheved and the hospital's lands to southeast, the lands of the heirs of John of Sandwich, knight, the lands of the hospital and the lands of Stephen Fauconer to southwest and the lands of the heirs of James Peny, the lands of John atte Berne and the lands of the heirs of Nicholas le Ismongere to northeast.
In exchange, the hospital grants the priory a piece of marsh in Lydden [in Worth], lying with the priory's land to north and east, the land of Thomas Edward of Sandwich to south and the priory's land between the marsh and the watercourse called The Gestling [in Northbourne] to west.
The hospital has been distrained and oppressed by the priory's servants because of arrears of an annual payment of 2s for which John of Sandwich, knight, and his heirs should have acquitted the hospital. The priory, at the request of the mayor and commonalty, remits all actions it has against the hospital because of the payment or the arrears. Priory's part of indenture, sealed with the seal of the commonalty of Sandwich [no longer present] and the hospital's seal.

Endorsed with description and note of registration in early 14th cent hands.
