Description | From: Edward II, king of England
The king gives Bertram de Twytham licence to grant the prior and convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory 1 messuage, 9 acres of land, 2 acres of meadow and 15 acres of pasture in Elverton [in Stone by Faversham] and Ickham, and gives the priory licence to receive them to maintain lights around St Thomas Becket's shrine, the statue of mortmain notwithstanding. For this the prior has paid 50s. The clerk is herlaston'. Given at Westminster [Middlesex]. |
