DescriptionActa before the official of the court of Canterbury, commissary of Robert Kilwardby, archbishop of Canterbury, in St Mary-le-Bow church, London, on 7 Dec 1273 and at subsequent continuations until 12 Dec. The archbishop is acting as papal judge delegate in a case between the subprior and convent of Dover Priory, represented by the subprior as its proctor, and Geoffrey of Romney and the chapter of Canterbury Cathedral Priory, whose proctor is Mgr Walter de Tremfeld', clerk, concerning compensation for an unjust excommunication by Geoffrey and other matters. The cathedral priory's proctor proposed certain exceptions to which Dover Priory objected, alleging that the exceptions were not proposed by a suitable proctor and challenging Walter's status as proctor. Walter was admitted as proctor and the exceptions were approved. 15 Jan was assigned as the day to dispute the exceptions.

Endorsed with description as the 2nd acta in late 13th cent hand.
