The church of Deopham. Reserving a portion to the vicar, consisting of dues, tithes and lands as specified, reserving certain tithes to the monks of Norwich Cathedral Priory. Also reserving an annual payment of 6s 4d to Canterbury Cathedral Priory, payable as specified to its proctor in the same vill ('villa'). Canterbury Cathedral Priory shall present to the living with the advice of the bishop, who shall institute the vicars. The vicar shall be responsible for financial burdens as specified. Canterbury Cathedral Priory shall pay two-thirds of the cost of repairing the ornaments and utensils of the church and the vicar shall pay the other third. The grant is made for veneration of St Thomas Becket and for the maintenance of the guests and pilgrims flocking to the cathedral on his feast day. No date.
