Description | From: Thomas de Blundeville, bishop of Norwich To: the prior and convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory
The church of Deopham. The bishop grants the church to the use of the guests and the poor who flock to Canterbury on St Thomas Becket's feast day, reserving a suitable maintenance for the vicar who will minister there. The vicar is to be presented by the priory, with the bishop's advice, and instituted by the bishop. The vicarage shall be worth 10 marks. The grant is made in honour of St Thomas. Given at London.
