The prior and chapter of Canterbury Cathedral Priory, acting sede vacante, have granted that Hugh, bishop of Byblus (Bibliensis') [Lebanon; suffragan bishop of Durham], may dedicate an area within the hospital's precinct which has been assigned as a place of burial for the brothers and others of the faithful. The hospital does not intend the priory to suffer in any way because of this grant and will indemnify the priory against the lords of the fee and anyone else affected by this business, especially anyone who is owed rent or services from the land.
