Description | From: Richard of Dover, archbishop of Canterbury
When Mgr Gerard, the archbishop's clerk, was rector of Teynham [Kent], he granted tithes of 20 acres of the assart of 'Pidinge' to the chapel of Doddington at the request of Hugh son of Hervey. The money was to be spent on the fabric of the chapel or the provision of books, vestments or ornaments. If the assart contains more than 20 acres, the extra tithe shall be paid to the mother church of Teynham. The archbishop confirms this grant. Anathema clause. No date.
