Thomas is to receive sesin of a piece of land from the mayor and commonalty of the city of Canterbury, parcel of the said city, lying within the city wall and extending from the church of St Michael [Burgate] to the church of [St Mary] Northgate, 38 perches 1½ feet and 3 inches long at its east side towards the east wall of the city, 37 perches 14 feet 3 inches long on the west side, 38 feet 2 inches wide on the south side and 37 feet 8 inches on the north side. Also of the whole of the wall and towers between the 2 churches. Given at the chapter house of Canterbury Cathedral Priory. Initial decorated with pen flourishing and acanthus leaf design. |
