[Document damaged. Several small areas of text lost or illegible.] 6 acres of meadow in 'settinges' [in or near Northgate in Canterbury] with the king's highway which goes to Sturry from Canterbury to east, of which 2 acres lie in the meadow called 'Seven Acres' ('septem acre'), 1½ acres lie in the meadow called 'Brademed' with the land of John son of Robert to north and the land of Henry Beringer to south, and 2½ acres lie in the meadow before the garden of 'settinges' to east, between Henry's land and the land of Geoffrey de settinges. For an annual payment of 18d, payable as specified. James places 2 acres and 1 virgate of meadow of the priory's holding ('tenementum') in the meadow called 'longemede', lying with the way to north and Henry's land to south, as a pledge of this sale. For this the priory has also paid 7 marks as a gersum fine by 'Dominus' Hugh, II, its almoner. The grant is made to the use of the poor. No date.
