Several areas of text lost or illegible.] An annual payment of 6d free rent of 'Forth'...' in Wincheap [in Canterbury], payable as specified by William ballard' for land and the house where he lives, lying with the house of Reginald son of Godwin to south and the land of ...dia... widow of Alfred de rodingtune to north. For an annual payment of 1d, payable as specified. Made and recorded at the hundred court of Worthgate and the capital court of the prior of Canterbury Cathedral Priory. For this John son of Hamo has also paid 4s as a gersum fine. No date. [Date: handwriting and witnesses to other Canterbury charters.]
