Addressed to the citizens of Canterbury, French and English. The archbishop and the priory grant that Achemund the clerk shall hold the land Wibert the priest of St Margaret's [Canterbury], his uncle, granted him as his inheritance in his (Wibert's) lifetime ('dum sanus et incolumis adhuc fuerit'), with the knowledge ('testimonium') of Ralph the dean ('decanus'), Geldewin the priest ('scaerdos') and Robert calvellus. For an annual payment of 6s, payable as specified on the high altar of Canterbury Cathedral. [Date: as in Saltman, cited below.]
