Several small areas of text lost or illegible.] A messuage in the parishes of St Michael [Burgate] and St Mary Queningate which William purchased of Thomas Copedok', lying with the messuage of the rector Queningate to north, the messuage of John of Lewes to south, the king's highway called 'Quenyngatestrete' to east and the land of the prior and convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory to west. For this James has paid 18 marks as a gersum fine. Given at Canterbury.
