An annual payment of £10, payable as specified from the priory's manor of Barton ('le Berton') next Canterbury for the term of her life. Right of distraint if payment in arrears. If any distraint is rescued or the enclosure in which anything distrained is enclosed is broken open, the priory grants Joan a penalty of 20s as often as this happens, with a right of distraint to recover this penalty. After Joan's death, the priory will pay her executors or administrators whatever was owed to her between the date of the last payment and the date of her death, with a right of distraint.
