The priory receives an annual payment of 11s, payable as specified from a garden in St Mary de Castro parish, lying with the garden of Thomas lane to east the lane which goes to the church of St Mary de Castro and the tenement of William Scot to south, the tenement of the heirs of John Pirye and the king's highway to west and the tenement of John Humfrey to north, which garden Thomas Pikerell of Canterbury recently purchased. The priory remits 6s of the payment on condition that if Thomas pays the priory an annual payment of 5s as specified in its treasury it will not demand the remaining 6s. The priory has a right of distraint in the garden if payment in arrears, but if a sufficient distraint cannot be made or Thomas rescues the distraint, he is bound to pay the priory the full 11s as specified.
