[Document damaged. Some small areas of text lost or illegible.] Annual payments of 8d, 4s and 6s free rent payable by the priory's treasurers and John the Norwegian ('Norensis'). The priory has the 6s of the gift of Simon the chaplain ('capellanus') son of Walter Boes. Payable for a messuage in St Alphege parish [Canterbury] which the priory's treasurers have of the gift of Geoffrey, Robert's brother, lying between the house of Elias the hay-merchant ('fenarius') and the house which was of Henry Snegge, John's messuage lying in the middle of the street with the door of St Alphege's church to north, and the messuage of Peter son of John the cook ('Cocus') which is near John's messuage to east, at the corner of two ways. For annual payments of 12d to the heirs of Charles the mercer ('karolus mercerius') by John and 12d to Robert by the treasurers, both payable as specified. For this the priory has paid 20s as a gersum fine. No date. [Date: handwriting and witnesses to other Canterbury charters.]
