[Document damaged. Some witnesses' names supplied form registered versions.] Land with buildings built or to be built on it in wood and stone in St Andrew's parish, Canterbury, lying with the stone house of Goldwin the mercer ('mercerius') to south and St Andrew's church to north, lying in the king's highway and extending to east upon the same street to the messuage of Walter le Cuvreur from the way which goes from St Andrew's church to St Margaret's church. For an annual payment of 4s 9d which Ralph owes to the lord of Thannington and an annual payment of 12d to the nuns of St Sepulchre's Priory, both payable as specified. Also for annual payments of 1d to Ralph and 2d to Richard and John, his brothers, as quit-rents ('forisgabulum'), payable in the priory's treasury as specified. For this the priory has also paid 40 marks as a gersum fine. The grant is made with the consent of Ralph's brother, Richard. Made and recorded in the hundred court of Newingate ward and the borough moot of the city of Canterbury. No date. [Date: dates of Arnold and Charles as bailiffs of Canterbury.]
