He is Archbishop Richard Grant's proctor at the Roman court. He has impetrated letters from Pope Gregory IX to the archbishop, recited. Dated 10 Sep 1230, at Anagni. These concern indulgences which some in Canterbury diocese claim to have obtained from Rome. Philip de mortuo mari, the priory's proctor, complained that these letters might be prejudicial to the priory, but Richard has promised that this will not be the case. No date.
