The priory has granted in gavelkind to Samson de gestling' and Walter and Richard de Leya and Folpricus land in Chartham marsh, both old and new land, lying by the sea. Edmund, the priory's late clerk, acquired this land. For annual payments of £6 3s 4¾d for the old land and of 50s for the new land. Conditions on maintaining sea defences and terms of joint tenure.
