Description	From: Alan, I, prior of Canterbury Cathedral Priory; the convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory Copies of 2 grants made to Samson de gestelinges. (1) As in DCc-ChAnt/C/422, grant of 183 acres in 'eswelle', in Fairfield ('farrefelt') and in the old land in Chartham marsh. For an annual payment of 2½ marks. (2) Grant in gavelkind of 100 acres of marsh. Lying between the walls of the property of Robertsbridge Abbey and 'oxnoia' (?Oxney). He should hold this land after ('post') the further 100 acres demised to Stephen de Kenardingt'. For an annual payment of 2 marks. Both with conditions on walling and with witness lists. No date.
