Version of DCc-ChAnt/C/284. Gerard is auditor of contradictory letters. In the case between Mgr Richard, rector of Cliffe, and the cathedral priory concerning tithes. Matthias Teatin', Richard's proctor, has chosen the archdeacon of Rochester as judge, and Philip de Pomonte, the priory's proctor, the prior of Rochester. The bishop of Rochester has been chosen by assent as the third judge. [Place where judges to meet not given.] Recites mandate from Pope John XXI to the judges, dated 17 Apr 1277, at Viterbo.
