| Description | From: Walter Cherteseye To: the prior and convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory
Simon of Sudbury, late archbishop of Canterbury, appointed Walter as priory steward of the hall for his lifetime. This was confirmed by King Richard II on 29 Mar 1380. Walter grants the office, except for certain specified dues, to the priory for a term of 40 years. For an annual payment of £11 and clothing as specified. Right of distraint.
