(1) King Edward I has granted to the priory £60-worth of land in Kent 'infra Sandwyc' et Dovorr' versus orient''. In return the priory surrenders, and quitclaims for, its rights and rents in the vill and port of Sandwich, except for its houses and quays. Also except for shipping rights for the priory and St Augustine's Abbey, and for rights of trade and carriage as specified. The priory's part of the chirograph sealed with the seals of 'Domini' Stephen de Penecestr' and John de Werewiht, sent by the king for the negotiations. 6 Jun 1290, at Canterbury.
(2) Grant by King Edgar to the cathedral priory of the harbour and vill of Sandwich. With 14 subscriptions by Edgar, other kings, archbishops, bishops and others. Dated '966'. [As noted in Sawyer, below, presumed a forgery.]
