Of the ordinance, recited, for the foundation of a chantry in the cathedral church, as in DCc-ChAnt/C/147. King Henry IV has granted a licence. Ordinance issued by the executors of the late John Buckingham ('de Bukyngham'), bishop of Lincoln, who are Thomas [Chillenden], prior of the cathedral priory, Peter de Dalton, treasurer of Lincoln Cathedral, John Bottlesham ('Botlisham') and John Forest, canons of Lincoln Cathedral, John lydyngton, rector of Irnham [Lincolnshire], and John Park, page ('domicellus'). The chantry will be near the bishop's grave [in the nave] and will be for his soul and the souls of King Edward III, Thomas Beauchamp ('de Bello Campo'), earl of Warwick, Henry Ferrers ('de Ferrariis'), lord ('Dominus') of Groby, the bishop's parents, other benefactors, and all faithful departed. Details of offices to be said, payments, and maintenance of chaplains. Appointing 'Dominus' Thomas Broun and 'Dominus' John Waynflete as the first chaplains.
