DescriptionFrom: Edward II, king of England

Of an inspeximus by William Reynolds, archbishop of Canterbury, dated at Canterbury on 4 Jan 1322, recited, of a charter by Henry [of Eastry], prior, and the chapter of the cathedral priory, dated in the chapter house on 16 Feb 1320, recited. The priory has granted to 6 priests, serving in Blessed Mary's chapel in the almonry, 2 liveries called Lanfranc's liveries, and 4 further liveries when they become vacant.
The priests will say mass for the king and his children, and for the souls of Edward [I], Archbishops Lanfranc and Robert Winchelsey, the other archbishops, themselves and their successors, and benefactors past and future. Details of liveries, consisting of bread and beer from the priory cellar, and money from the treasury. Conditions for dress, appointment and dismissal of priests, and visitation of chapel by priory officials.
