Bernard, bishop of St Davids, made a profession of obedience to Ralph [d'Escures], archbishop of Canterbury, which is said to remain at Canterbury Cathedral Priory. Bernard obeyed the summons of Archbishop William [of Corbeil]. He was called by Alberic, bishop of Ostia, to attend the consecration of Archbishop Theobald. No date. [Date: Barlow, as below. This is in support of Theobald's case against Bernard's claims for independence for his see.]
