| Description | From: Roger of Ireland To: Canterbury Cathedral Priory
[Document damaged. Large area of text lost or illegible. Part of property description, some details of transaction and some witnesses' names supplied from registered versions.] His tenement of the priory's holding ('tenementum') in All Saints parish, Canterbury, lying with the messuage of Odo the spicer ('speciarius') to south, the tenement late of Henry de cherche to north, the River Stour to west and the king's highway to east. Cecilia, Roger's wife, will retain the messuage during her lifetime for a total annual payment of 5s 6d, payable as specified in the priory's treasury, and the monks shall receive it after her death. Roger has confirmed this grant in his will. The grant is made for his soul and the souls of his ancestors and is made with Cecilia's consent. Sealed with the seals of Roger and Cecilia [no longer present]. No date. [Date: handwriting and witnesses to other Canterbury charters.]
