DescriptionFrom: John Pecham, archbishop of Canterbury

The chapel of Patching [Sussex] in Chichester diocese, was formerly separate from the parish of Tarring, although it is now joined to it as its chapel. The archbishop, wishing to restore it to its original state, has, with the consent of his chapter, ordered that it shall be a parish church with its own rector, and shall be assessed independently of Tarring, with its rector. All other rights of Tarring shall remain as they are.
