| Description | From: the dean and chapter of Canterbury Cathedral To: Titus Rufford
The dean and chapter, by an indenture dated 24 Nov 1637, leased Titus three messuages with adjoining gardens lying in St Mary Northgate parish in the city of Canterbury with the street there to west, a tenement and garden of the heirs of Nicholas Fishe to north, the king's park to east and a tenement and garden of the dean and chapter to south for a term of 31 years. The lease contained a condition that if Titus granted the lands to anyone except his wife and children without the dean and chapter's licence the lease would be void. The dean and chapter give Titus licence to assign the lands to William Anslo of the city of Canterbury, labourer.
